Huygens

Christiaan Huygens (1629–1695) was a Dutch mathematician, physicist, and astronomer, regarded as one of the most important figures of the Scientific Revolution. He is best known for his studies on light and wave theory, as well as for pioneering the construction of pendulum clocks, greatly improving the accuracy of timekeeping.

Huygens also made significant astronomical discoveries, including the identification of Titan, Saturn’s largest moon, and the explanation of Saturn’s rings. His work had a profound influence on physics and mathematics, leaving a legacy that is still recognized today.

Andy Masley’s video clearly explains Huygens’ principle.
